Contractor Positions
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) / Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW)
Soulstis Therapeutic Counselling Services (STCS) is a busy growing counselling practice in the South Okanagan. We operate out of a well- established medical office dental building in Penticton, British Columbia, which provides a large amount of community exposure. We service clients from up and down the Okanagan and into the Similkameen Valley, as well as virtual clients across the province. We are located centrally in town and are literally steps away from the Hospital, Psychiatric Units, and Health Center. We offer services to a variety of clientele, including but not limited to: adults, couples, children, youth, families, and those belonging to the LBGTQ+ communities. We appreciate how isolating private practice can be and have acquired and beautifully renovated a new counselling space, providing a high-quality work atmosphere and supportive environment for all contractors who are looking to achieve personal growth and development. We are open to all experience levels, backgrounds, and modality/practice preference.

The Successful Candidate Will Require:
-
A Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work with Registration to British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), or British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).

Must maintain and provide proof of up-to-date registrations, liability insurance, GST number, and WorkSafe BC coverage.

Must adhere to and practice according to ethical guidelines provided by their individual regulatory body.

A willingness to provide services for FNHA, CVAP, and ICBC and acquire registration.

An ability to provide a variety of therapeutic interventions for their clients and a high level of competency and professionalism including confidentiality.

Must demonstrate cultural competency and a non-judgemental approach rich in compassion, warmth, respect, and understanding.

A willingness to offer both In-Person and Online Services preferred.

Must be willing to utilize JaneApp Operating Systems and training provided on how to: schedule appointments, maintain clinical records, invoice clients, and collect payments.

Provide invoices, based on contractor preference on a bi-monthly or monthly basis

Maintain current client records and complete clinical notes and additional reports in a timely fashion.

Must possess a desire to pursue ongoing professional development and education opportunities as they arise.

Preferred that applicant with engage in networking, attend team meetings, and have a desire to grow practice.

A strong knowledge in trauma and certification in EMDR and Exposure therapy would be an asset.

A willingness to maintain a clean and tidy office space during use, with weekly professional cleaning provided by STCS.

An ability to open and close the physical office space as needed, during times when administration or clinic managers are unavailable.
